Ife Devine: The Frequency of Healing

A voice raised on choir stages. A pen sharpened by a healing journey. A community pillar building the music she needed to hear. Meet the Killeen-born soul artist bringing her love frequency to Rhythm & Rise Live.

Some artists arrive with a sound. Ife Devine arrives with a frequency. The 32-year-old independent soul artist out of Killeen, Texas writes from a place most performers never let the audience see — the long, quiet work of healing — and turns it into music designed to do the same for whoever is listening.

She has been a singer her whole life. Devine started singing at age two, and by the time she hit middle school she was earning her seat in regional and state choirs. Music was her first love. By fifth grade she was already writing her own songs, holding the same intention she still holds today: be a strong singer, and help heal people through music.

Soul as Medicine

The music you hear from Ife Devine today is not about a sound trend or a playlist placement. It is the direct product of her own healing journey. For many years she lived through the experiences she now advocates around — domestic violence and homelessness — and the catalog she is building grew out of doing the inner work that those experiences demanded.

In her own words, she has taken the experiences and the energy given to her by her Creator and, through transmutation and integration, made music to nourish the soul. That language is hers, and it is intentional. Her songs are not testimonies in the look-what-I-survived sense; they are transmissions. Pain converted into something somebody else can use.

“The love frequency is always the same.”

That is the through-line. Across moods, tempos, and topics, Ife Devine writes from the same emotional center. The flow is hers, the delivery shifts with the song, but the frequency holds. That consistency is what makes a Devine record feel like medicine instead of a performance — you can feel where she is writing from before you parse what she is saying.

A Pillar in Her Community

Ife Devine is not only an artist. She is, in the language her own community uses, a pillar. Her advocacy work centers on community outreach and raising awareness around domestic violence and homelessness — two systems she has navigated personally and now refuses to be quiet about.

The vision she is building toward is concrete: a shelter and clinic designed to support families fleeing domestic violence or facing homelessness, structured around growth and holistic healing. A safe space that treats the person, not just the crisis. The music funds the mission. The mission feeds the music. Each one keeps the other honest.

That is rare. A lot of artists talk about purpose. Devine talks about infrastructure — the actual rooms, the actual programs, the actual roof over a family's head on the night they need one. The catalog and the calling are not separate projects.

Why Rhythm & Rise Live

Rhythm & Rise Live exists for independent artists who carry their own weight — their own writing, their own production decisions, their own community. Ife Devine is exactly that. She comes to the stage with her own flow, in her own way, and a body of work that is built to do something for the listener, not just to them.

On June 27, 2026, she takes one of the 36 slots on the RRL stream alongside artists pushing the Texas R&B and Hip-Hop scene forward. The broadcast goes out free to the world from Austin — no ticket, no paywall, just the music and the people who showed up for it. For an artist whose mission is to make sure healing reaches the people who need it, a free global stream is not a perk. It is the point.
